WHAT'S NEEDED:

It's nice to have field guides, often found in local libraries. Binoculars and magnifying glasses help a lot, plus it's fun to use software for organizing life-cycle information on a computer. However these items aren't absolutely necessary.

Anyone, anyplace.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

• many online pages on nature-study basics
• an online database for posting life-cycle information -- when migratory birds pass through your area, when flowers blossom, when frogs mate, etc.
• a weekly naturalist's newsletter
